| 11according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust. | 11that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. |

| 16However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. | 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. |
