Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD. | 1Praise the LORD! Praise, you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD! |
Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever. | 2May the LORD's name be praised now and forevermore! |
From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the LORD is to be praised. | 3From east to west the LORD's name is deserving of praise. |
The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. | 4The LORD is exalted over all the nations; his splendor reaches beyond the sky. |
Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high, | 5Who can compare to the LORD our God, who sits on a high throne? |
Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth? | 6He bends down to look at the sky and the earth. |
He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap, | 7He raises the poor from the dirt, and lifts up the needy from the garbage pile, |
To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people. | 8that he might seat him with princes, with the princes of his people. |
He makes the barren woman abide in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD! | 9He makes the barren woman of the family a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD! |
