| 3"Defend the poor and the fatherless. Vindicate the afflicted and the poor. | 3Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. |
| 4Rescue the poor and the needy, delivering them from the power of the wicked. | 4Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” |
| 5They neither know nor understand; they walk about in the dark while all the foundations of the earth are shaken. | 5They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. |
