God Is Just 1Call now, is there anyone who will answer you? And to which of the holy ones will you turn?
For anger slays the foolish man,
I have seen the foolish taking root,
His sons are far from safety,
His harvest the hungry devour
For affliction does not come from the dust,
For man is born for trouble,
But as for me, I would seek God,
Who does great and unsearchable things,
He gives rain on the earth
So that He sets on high those who are lowly,
He frustrates the plotting of the shrewd,
He captures the wise by their own shrewdness,
By day they meet with darkness,
But He saves from the sword of their mouth,
So the helpless has hope,
Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves,
For He inflicts pain, and gives relief;
From six troubles He will deliver you,
In famine He will redeem you from death,
You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue,
You will laugh at violence and famine,
For you will be in league with the stones of the field,
You will know that your tent is secure,
You will know also that your descendants will be many,
You will come to the grave in full vigor,
Behold this; we have investigated it, and so it is. NASB 1995 Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, Calif. All rights reserved. For Permission to Quote Information visit http://www.lockman.org Bible Hub |
