Job Says He Longs for God 1Then Job replied,
Even today my complaint is rebellion;
Oh that I knew where I might find Him,
I would present my case before Him
I would learn the words which He would answer,
Would He contend with me by the greatness of His power?
There the upright would reason with Him;
Behold, I go forward but He is not there,
When He acts on the left, I cannot behold Him;
But He knows the way I take;
My foot has held fast to His path;
I have not departed from the command of His lips;
But He is unique and who can turn Him?
For He performs what is appointed for me,
Therefore, I would be dismayed at His presence;
It is God who has made my heart faint,
But I am not silenced by the darkness, NASB 1995 Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, Calif. All rights reserved. For Permission to Quote Information visit http://www.lockman.org Bible Hub |
