Titus 2
Berean Literal Bible

Teaching Sound Doctrine

1But you, speak the things that are consistent with the sound doctrine.

2The aged men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in endurance; 3the aged women likewise reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not being enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good, 4so that they may train the young women to be lovers of their husbands, loving their children, 5self-controlled, pure, keepers at home, kind, being subject to the own husbands, so that the word of God should not be maligned.

6Likewise, exhort the younger men to be self-controlled.

7In all things be holding forth yourself as a pattern of good works, in the teaching, integrity, dignity, 8and sound speech beyond reproach, so that he who is of the contrary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning us.

9Servants are to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying, 10not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

God's Grace Brings Salvation

11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12instructing us that, having denied ungodliness and worldly passions, we should live discreetly and righteously and piously in the present age, 13awaiting the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

15Speak these things, and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
