Parmash'ta is a biblical figure mentioned in the Book of Esther, specifically in Esther 9:7. He is one of the ten sons of Haman, the Agagite, who is infamously known for his plot to annihilate the Jewish people during the reign of King Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) of Persia. Haman's lineage and his enmity towards the Jews are significant, as he is identified as an Agagite, linking him to the Amalekites, a long-standing enemy of Israel.

In the narrative of Esther, Haman's plan is thwarted by Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai, leading to a dramatic reversal of fortune. The Jewish people are granted the right to defend themselves against their enemies, resulting in the defeat of those who sought their harm. Parmash'ta, along with his nine brothers, is killed in the ensuing conflict as recorded in Esther 9:7-10 : "They killed the ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews: Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha, Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha, Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vaizatha."

The death of Parmash'ta and his brothers is commemorated during the Jewish festival of Purim, which celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from Haman's genocidal scheme. The festival is marked by the reading of the Megillah (the Book of Esther), feasting, and the giving of gifts, emphasizing themes of survival, divine providence, and the triumph of good over evil.

Parmash'ta's mention in the Bible, though brief, serves as a reminder of the historical enmity between the descendants of Esau (Amalekites) and the Israelites, and the ultimate justice meted out by God in defense of His chosen people. The account of Esther, including the fate of Parmash'ta, underscores the biblical theme of God's sovereignty and protection over His people, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
