I. THAT MEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF FEAR CAN CONTEMPLATE ONLY THE WORST TRAITS IN THEIR CHARACTER.

II. THAT TIME DOES NOT OBLITERATE THE SINFULNESS OF AN EVIL DEED.

III. THAT THE VOICE OF CONSCIENCE IS UNCHANGEABLE.

IV. THE RECOGNITION OF THE LAW OF RETRIBUTION.
