Romans 3:1-2 What advantage then has the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?… Here is a man going over a mountain. Night falls and he is lost. He sees a light in a cabin window. He hastens up to it. The mountaineer comes out and says, "I will furnish you with a lantern." The man does not say, "I don't like the handle, and I don't like the shape of this lantern; it is octangular; it ought to be round; if you can't give me a better one, I won't take any." Oh, no. He starts on with it. He wants to get home. That lantern shines on the path all the way through the mountain. Now, what is the Bible? Have we any right to say we do not like this or that in it, when God intended it for a lamp for our feet and a lantern for our path to guide us through our wilderness march, and bring us at last to our Father's house on high?
