Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? You would ask, Why torment me with an offer impossible for me to accept? There is a Holy Spirit for you as well as a crucified Christ. If you were an undutiful son whose profligacy had plunged you into misery, and the fatherly affection which you had abused should follow you still, and not only send you a message of forgiveness, but sacrifice the most valuable of his possessions that you might be free to return, could you have any thought that the same affection, when you had worked your way back to the door of the paternal mansion and stood there in want, would refuse a morsel of bread to your hungry lips?
