"What's the matter?" inquired the woman. "Oh, we've got the devil in us," was the reply. "No, young man," said the woman, with a reverence for the truth that deserved something better than to be selling patent medicine, "I cannot cure you. Your disorder is of the soul; my physic is only for the body. If you want to be cured, you must go to the man that's selling Bibles yonder." (J. S. Pawlyn.)
