Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. In the stress and vicissitudes of our earthly pilgrimage we know it as a lamp for our own difficult way: "Thy Word a lamp unto my feet." This recalls Charles Kingsley's phrase. On a dark, misty night he was cheerful, for, said he, "there is light enough to get home." That is all we really need — light enough to get home — and, if we follow His Word, that at least we shall not miss.
