A sower. The reaper may work amidst a company, but the sower is always alone. Thousands reap the fruit of what one man sows. III. The SEASON when he goes forth to sow. No foliage, no verdure, sky cloudy, and air cold. IV. Sowing is a SORROWFUL PROCESS. He goes forth weeping. He must part with a certain amount of present good, in order to obtain a larger amount of future good. V. The NATURE OF THE SEED which he sows. The word of truth must be the word of life.
