II. SHOULD BE MAINTAINED AS FAR AS POSSIBLE — by

1. Patience.

2. Prudence.

3. Conciliation.

III. IF IMPOSSIBLE, CANNOT BE SOUGHT WITHOUT ADVANTAGE. The attempt secures —

1. Peace of conscience.

2. The approbation of God.

3. And consequently Divine interposition in our favour.
