Not resting satisfied with a mere temporary impression, but walking with the Lord in true fellowship of life: Lydia was baptized. 2. Endeavouring to convey to others our newly acquired faith: with Lydia, her house is baptized. 3. Labouring to pay our debt of gratitude to the Lord by self-sacrificing love to our neighbour: Lydia constrained her benefactors to come to her house. (Lisco.)
