The Church is now catholic, and no longer national. It is not now a civil polity and the necessities of a civil community that determine the nature of these "walls and gates." Yet there are some things of prime importance, like the walls and gates of Jerusalem. I. THE SACRED OBSERVANCE OF THE LORD'S DAY.
