He believed in the reality of the personal God, and in His power and willingness to bless; but unbelief as to the methods was struggling with his faith. 1. It is the thought of the heart that is here recorded. 2. The natural obstacle to the fulfilment of the promise was greater now than on the previous occasion. 3.
