It was borne up by costly pillars, to show that the humanity of Christ, especially in His sufferings, should be borne up by His Deity. 4. By the vail only, there was entry into the holiest place of all: so by the vail, i.e., the flesh of Christ, which was rent, as it were, upon the cross, a new and living way is made for us to the Father.
