The agency of God consists in His will, His choice or volition. God is a perfectly free agent. God is a moral agent. He perfectly knows and loves moral good, and as perfectly knows and hates moral evil. II. HIS AGENCY IS UNIVERSAL. God claims to be the universal agent. 1. God has made all things. 2. This further appears from His upholding all things. God did not and could not make any creature or object independent, and give it the power of self-preservation. 3. God must extend His agency to all created objects in the universe, because He has made all things for Himself. (N. Emmons, D. D.)
