Strictness of discipline. II. WHO ARE THE PERSONS WHO ARE COMMANDED TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM, AND SEEK ITS PROSPERITY? They are Christians. III. THE MEANS BY WHICH THIS END IS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED. Our first duty is that of earnest prayer for the prosperity of all people in the Church of Christ, and then sedulous and vigorous effort in order to promote it. (J. S. Elliott.)
