Isaiah 6:9-13 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear you indeed, but understand not; and see you indeed, but perceive not.… are few, if great. They are in the main these three: 1. His though of the Lord, the King. 2. His thought of the people in their insensibility to the majesty and rule of the King. 3. These two thoughts when brought together inevitably create the third — that of the annihilation of the people down to a remnant, that the Lord may be exalted in that day. (A. B. Davidson, D. D.)
