2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. This is to be understood as — I. COMFORTING GRACE, which is given that we may be supported amidst all our trials; but in vain, if we are still cast down and decline from God: and that we may comfort others (2 Corinthians 1:3-6), but in vain, if this end be not answered.
