The Nature of the Christian's Trust in God
Proverbs 3:6
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

I. THE NATURE OF THE TRUST.

1. It must be intelligent.

2. It must be unlimited.

3. It must be constant. No trust is of any great value that is not uniform and abiding.

II. THE MANNER IN WHICH THIS TRUST IS MANIFESTED.

1. There is surrender to the Divine authority.

2. There is obedience to the Divine law.

3. There is submission to the Divine providence.

4. There is faith in the Divine promises.Contrast the man who leans on his own understanding with the man who trusts in God. The one leans on a broken reed, the other on the arm of Omnipotence.
