Their SNARLING AND BARKING, because as dogs they barked at him and snarled at his doctrine, and that, as dogs again, not upon reason but custom. Abishai called Shimei a dog in respect of his causeless barking against David (2 Samuel 16:9). II. Their GREEDINESS, making, as he afterwards said, "their belly their god" (Isaiah 56:11). III.
