David's Psalm of praise, in his later years, reflecting upon his past life. 1I will exalt You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. 2 I will praise You every day; I will bless Your name forever and ever. 3Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is beyond measure! 4May each generation praise Your mighty works and declare Your wonders to the next. 5I will reflect upon and speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works. 6And men shall speak of the might of Your awe-inspiring acts; and I will declare Your greatness. 7They shall enthusiastically recount the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. 8The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9The LORD is good to all; and His tender mercies and compassion apply to all His works. 10All Your works shall praise You, O LORD; and Your saints shall bless You. 11They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and of Your power; 12So that all the sons of men may know of Your mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of Your kingdom. 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Your faithful promises are worthy of our trust. 14The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. 15The eyes of all look to You; and You give them their food in due season. 16You open Your hand, and satisfy the needs of every living thing. 17The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works. 18The LORD is near to all those who call upon Him, who call upon Him in truth and integrity. 19He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and save them. 20The LORD preserves all those who love Him; but all the wicked He will destroy. 21My mouth shall speak in praise of the LORD; and let every creature bless His holy name forever and ever.
