1And the LORD spoke to Moses: 2“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When you have come into the land which I give to you for your home, 3And you make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savor unto the LORD, of the herd, or the flock: 4Then shall the one that presents his offering unto the LORD bring a meal offering of a tenth part of flour mixed with the fourth of a hin of oil. 5And a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering shall you prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb. 6Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenths of an ephah of flour mixed with the third of a hin of oil. 7And for a drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, for a sweet savor unto the LORD. 8And when you prepare a bullock for a burnt offering, for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD: 9Then you shall bring with a bullock a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah of flour mixed with half a hin of oil. 10And you shall bring for a drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD. 11‘Each bullock, ram, lamb, or kid is to be prepared in this manner. 12Do this for as many as you shall prepare. 13All that are born in the country shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering made by fire, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. 14And if a stranger sojourns with you, or whoever is among you in your generations, who presents an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he shall do as you do.’ 15One ordinance shall be for both you of the congregation, and for the stranger that sojourns with you, forever in your generations: as you do, so shall the stranger do before the LORD. 16One law and manner shall be for you, and for the stranger sojourning with you.’” 17And the LORD said to Moses, 18“Say to the children of Israel, ‘When you come into the land I bring you to, 19And you eat the food of the land, you shall present a heave offering unto the LORD. 20You shall offer up a cake from the first of your dough for a heave offering: as you do for the heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall you lift it high (heave it). 21You shall give of the first of your dough unto the LORD a heave offering in your generations. 22‘And if you have erred, and failed to observe all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken to Moses of, 23All that the LORD has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and thereafter through your generations; 24Then, if anything is committed by ignorance, without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savor unto the LORD, with his meal offering, and his drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering. 25And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the Israelites, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was done in ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire, unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance: 26And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the Israelites, as well as the stranger that sojourns among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance. 27‘And if any soul sins through ignorance, then he shall bring a she-goat of the first year for a sin offering. 28And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that sinned ignorantly, unwittingly, before the LORD, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. 29You shall have one law for anyone that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the Israelites, and for the stranger that sojourns among them. 30‘But the soul that does anything presumptuously (defiantly), whether born in the land, or a stranger, they have reproached and blasphemed the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 31Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken His commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.’” 32And while the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks on the Sabbath day. 33And those that found him brought him to Moses, Aaron, and the congregation. 34And they put him in prison, because it was not clear what should be done to him. 35And the LORD said to Moses, “The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36And all the congregation brought him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. 37And the LORD said to Moses, 38“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. throughout their generations: 39And they shall see these tassels, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; so that they do not follow after their own desires, and defile themselves. 40Then they may remember, and do all My commandments, and be holy unto their God. 41I am the LORD, Who brought them out of the land of Egypt, to be their God. I am the LORD, your God.” Reader-Friendly Bible: Purple Letter Edition © 2024 by Jim Musser. Used by Permission. All rights Reserved. Bible Hub |
