1Then Eliashib, the high priest, rose up with his fellow priests, and they built the sheep gate; sanctified it, and set up its doors. They sanctified the walls westward to the tower of Hammeah, as far as the tower of Hananel. 2And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur, son of Imri, built. 3And the sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate, laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. 4And next to them Meremoth, son of Urijah, son of Hakkoz, repaired. And next to them repaired Meshullam, son of Berechiah, son of Meshezabel. And next to them Zadok, son of Baana, repaired. 5And next to them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles did not support the work of their LORD. 6Moreover, Joiada (Jehoiada), son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate; they laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. 7And next to them Melatiah, the Gibeonite, Jadon, the Meronothite, and the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, repaired as far as the Jerusalem residence (throne) of the governor on this side of the Euphrates River. 8Next to him Uzziel, son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths, repaired. Next to him also repaired Hananiah, son of one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall. 9And next to them Rephaiah, son of Hur, the ruler of a half section of Jerusalem, repaired. 10And next to them repaired Jedaiah, son of Harumaph, opposite his house. And next to him repaired Hattush, son of Hashabneiah. 11Malchijah, son of Harim, and Hashub, son of Pahath-moab, repaired the other portion, and the tower of the furnaces. 12And next to him repaired Shallum, son of Hallohesh, ruler of the other half of district of Jerusalem - he and his daughters. 13 Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate; they built it, and set up its doors, locks, and bars, and a thousand cubits (1,500) of the wall as far as the dung (refuse) gate. 14And Malchiah, son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem repaired the dung gate; he built it, and set up its doors, locks, and bars. 15 Shallun, son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired the gate of the fountain; he built and covered it, and set up its doors, locks, and bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the king's garden, as far as the stairs that descend from the city of David. 16After him repaired Nehemiah, son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite the sepulchers of David, and to the reservoir, and as far as the house of the heroes. 17After him the Levites repaired: Rehum, son of Bani; next to him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of the half part of Keilah, for his district. 18After him repaired their brothers, Bavvai, son of Henadad, the ruler of the half part of Keilah. 19And next to him repaired Ezer, son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion northward in front of the ascent of the armory at the Angle (turning) of the wall. 20After him Baruch, son of Zabbai, zealously repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall as far as the door of the house of Eliashib, the high priest. 21After him repaired Meremoth, son of Urijah, son of Hakkoz, another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib as far as to the end of the house of Eliashib. 22And after him repaired the priests, the men of the plain. 23After them Benjamin and Hashub repaired in front of their house. After them repaired Azariah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ananiah, beside his house. 24After him repaired Binnui, son of Henadad, another portion, from the house of Azariah as far as the turning of the wall, the corner. 25Palal, son of Uzai, repaired opposite the turning of the wall, and the projecting tower from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah, son of Parosh, repaired. 26Moreover, the nethinim (Temple servants) dwelt in Ophel, as far as the place opposite the water gate toward the east, and the projecting tower. 27After them the Tekoites repaired another portion, in front of the great projecting tower, as far as the wall of Ophel. 28From above the horse gate repaired the priests, each opposite his house. 29After them repaired Zadok, son of Immer, opposite his house. After him repaired Shemaiah, son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate. 30After him repaired Hananiah, son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam, son of Berechiah, opposite his chamber. 31After him repaired Malchiah, the goldsmith's son, as far as the place of the nethinim, and of the merchants, opposite the gate Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner. 32And between the ascent of the corner as far as the sheep gate the goldsmiths and the merchants repaired.
