1‘And if you present an animal from the herd as a peace offering, whether it is a male or female, you shall offer it without blemish before the LORD. 2And you shall lay your hand upon its head, and slaughter it at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting. Then Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood upon the sides of the altar. 3And you shall offer part of the sacrifice as a special gift of the peace offering made by fire unto the LORD; the priest shall offer the fat that covers the internal organs, 4The two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys. 5And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt sacrifice, on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD. 6‘And if the animal is of the flock for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish. 7If you offer a lamb, then shall you offer it before the LORD. 8And you shall lay your hand upon the head of the offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood around upon the altar. 9And you shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering made by fire unto the LORD; its fat, and the whole rump, it shall he take off close to the backbone; and the fat that covers the inner organs, 10And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall the priest remove. 11And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the LORD. 12‘And if the offering is a goat, then it shall be offered before the LORD. 13And you shall lay your hand upon its head, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar around it. 14And you shall offer from it, an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covers the inner organs, and the priest shall remove all the fat that is upon the inner organs, 15And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys. 16And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor: all the fat is the LORD's. 17It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that you eat neither fat nor blood.’” Reader-Friendly Bible: Purple Letter Edition © 2024 by Jim Musser.
