1Then the LORD said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man, and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love the sacred cakes of raisins.” 2So I bought (redeemed) her to myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half homer (lethek) of barley. 3And I told her, “You shall live with Me for many days; you shall stop being a prostitute, and you shall not be intimate with another man; and I will also be the same toward you.” 4For the children of Israel shall go many days without a king or a prince, without sacrifice, without sacred pillars, images, an ephod, or idols. 5Afterward the people of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD, their God, and David, their king, and they shall come trembling, in awe of the LORD and His goodness, in the last days.
