1Masters, give to your servants what is right and just, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. 2Devote yourselves to prayer, with an alert mind and grateful heart. 3And remember to also pray for us, that God would open a door for our gospel message, to proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains; 4That I may make the gospel message clear, when I speak. 5Live and conduct yourselves wisely toward those that are not believers, making the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know the right response for everyone. 7Tychicus, my beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow-servant in the Lord, will tell you about all my activities. 8I have sent him to you for this very purpose, to encourage your hearts and that you might learn how we are faring, 9Along with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of your own people. They will tell you all that is being done here. 10Aristarchus, my fellow-prisoner, greets you, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas, (about whom you received instructions; if he comes, welcome him), 11And Jesus, who is also called Justus, these three are the only Jews among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me. 12Epaphras, who is one from your fellowship, and a servant of Christ, greets you, always praying fervently for you, that you may stand firm and complete in the entire will of God. 13For I assure you that he has a great zeal for you, for those that are in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis. 14Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, send you greetings. 15Send my greetings to the brothers and sisters who are in Laodicea, to Nymphas, and the church that meets in her house. 16And after this epistle (letter) is read among you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and that you likewise read the epistle (letter) from Laodicea. 17And tell Archippus, “Be sure to carry out (fulfill) the ministry which you have received in the Lord.” 18I, Paul, write this salutation (greeting) with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen. Reader-Friendly Bible: Purple Letter Edition © 2024 by Jim Musser. Used by Permission. All rights Reserved. Bible Hub |
