Slade, Mary B. C., was the wife of a clergyman of Fall River, Mass. She was born in 1826, and died in 1882. She was a teacher and at one time assistant editor of the New England Journal of Education, which position she resigned to start Wide Awake, a well-known publication, which she continued to edit until her death.
