1In the twenty-seventh year of Yaroḇ‛am sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, Azaryah son of Amatsyah, sovereign of Yehuḏah, began to reign.

2He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yeḵolyahu of Yerushalayim.

3And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his father Amatsyahu did,

4however, the high places were not taken away. The people still slaughtered and burned incense on the high places.

5And יהוה smote the sovereign, so that he was a leper until the day of his death, and he dwelt in a separate house. And Yotham son of the sovereign was over the house, ruling the people of the land.

6And the rest of the acts of Azaryahu, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yehuḏah?

7So Azaryah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the City of Dawiḏ. And Yotham his son reigned in his place.

8In the thirty-eighth year of Azaryahu sovereign of Yehuḏah, Zeḵaryahu son of Yaroḇ‛am began to reign over Yisra’ĕl in Shomeron, for six months.

9And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin.

10And Shallum son of Yaḇĕsh conspired against him, and smote him in front of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his place.

11And the rest of the acts of Zeḵaryah, see, they are written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl.

12This was the word of יהוה which He spoke to Yĕhu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation are going to sit on the throne of Yisra’ĕl.” And it came to be so.

13Shallum son of Yaḇĕsh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziyah, the sovereign of Yehuḏah. And he reigned a month of days in Shomeron.

14And Menaḥĕm son of Gaḏi went up from Tirtsah, and came to Shomeron, and smote Shallum son of Yaḇĕsh in Shomeron and killed him, and reigned in his place.

15And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the conspiracy which he led, see, they are written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl.

16And Menaḥĕm smote Tiphsaḥ, and all who were there, and its borders, from Tirtsah. Because they did not open it to him, therefore he smote it. And he ripped open all the pregnant women.

17In the thirty-ninth year of Azaryah sovereign of Yehuḏah, Menaḥĕm son of Gaḏi began to reign over Yisra’ĕl, ten years in Shomeron.

18And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin, all his days.

19Pul the sovereign of Ashshur came against the land. And Menaḥĕm gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, for his hand to be with him to strengthen the reign in his hand.

20And Menaḥĕm exacted the silver of Yisra’ĕl, of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty sheqels of silver, to give to the sovereign of Ashshur. And the sovereign of Ashshur turned back, and did not stay there in the land.

21And the rest of the acts of Menaḥĕm, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl?

22So Menaḥĕm slept with his fathers. And Peqaḥyah his son reigned in his place.

23In the fiftieth year of Azaryah the sovereign of Yehuḏah, Peqaḥyah the son of Menaḥĕm began to reign over Yisra’ĕl in Shomeron, for two years.

24And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin.

25And Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, a chief officer of his, conspired against him and smote him in Shomeron, in the high place of the sovereign’s house, along with Argoḇ and Aryĕh, and with him were fifty men of Gil‛aḏ. So he killed him and reigned in his place.

26And the rest of the acts of Peqaḥyah, and all that he did, see, they are written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl.

27In the fifty-second year of Azaryah sovereign of Yehuḏah, Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu began to reign over Yisra’ĕl in Shomeron, for twenty years.

28And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin.

29In the days of Peqaḥ sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, Tig̅lath-Pileser sovereign of Ashshur came and took Iyon, and Aḇĕl Bĕyth Ma‛aḵah, and Yanowaḥ, and Qeḏesh, and Ḥatsor, and Gil‛aḏ, and Galil, all the land of Naphtali, and took them into exile to Ashshur.

30And Hoshĕa son of Ělah led a conspiracy against Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, and smote him, and killed him, and reigned in his place in the twentieth year of Yotham son of Uzziyah.

31And the rest of the acts of Peqaḥ, and all that he did, see, they are written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl.

32In the second year of Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, Yotham son of Uzziyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, began to reign.

33He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yerusha the daughter of Tsaḏoq.

34And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה. He did according to all that his father Uzziyahu did.

35However, the high places were not taken away. The people still slaughtered and burned incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the House of יהוה.

36And the rest of the acts of Yotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yehuḏah?

37In those days יהוה began to send Retsin sovereign of Aram and Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu against Yehuḏah.

38So Yotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of Dawiḏ his father. And Aḥaz his son reigned in his place.
