A Psalm of David. 1I will sing of mercy and justice; unto You, O LORD, will I sing.
I will endeavor to lead a blameless life - when will You come to help me? I will conduct the affairs within my house with a pure heart.
I will not allow wicked things before my eyes. I hate perverted behavior; it shall have no appeal for me.
I will not tolerate a wicked or perverse person in my presence.
Nor will I tolerate anyone who disparages his neighbor, or has a haughty or prideful attitude.
My focus shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may associate with me; only those that act with integrity shall serve me.
He that practices deceit shall not live within my house; those that lie shall not remain in my presence.
I will promptly banish all the wicked from the land, and rid the city of the LORD all wicked doers. A Prayer of an afflicted person, who feels overwhelmed, and pours out his complaint before the LORD. Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter Edition © 2023 by Jim Musser. Used by Permission.
