New American Standard Bible Gods Omnipresence and Omniscience. For the choir director. A Psalm of David. 1O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
Even before there is a word on my tongue,
You have enclosed me behind and before,
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I take the wings of the dawn,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
If I say, Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
Even the darkness is not dark to You,
For You formed my inward parts;
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
My frame was not hidden from You,
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
O that You would slay the wicked, O God;
For they speak against You wickedly,
Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD?
I hate them with the utmost hatred;
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me, New American Standard Bible Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, Calif. All rights reserved. For Permission to Quote Information visit http://www.lockman.org Bible Hub |
